Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, Va.) is constructing a new $400 million tower in Roanoke, according to an article in wsls.com.

The 400,000-square-foot Crystal Spring Tower will include an expanded emergency department (ED) with separate ambulance and patient entrances and additional ED beds. A new cardiovascular unit, helipad, and underground parking garage are also planned.

Nashville, Tenn.-based Earl Swensson Associates (ESa) is serving as the project architect and Birmingham, Ala.-based Robins & Morton and Branch Builds (Roanoke) comprise the joint-venture construction team.
