The HCD 10: Meet the 2022 Winners
Now in its 11th year, Healthcare Design’s annual HCD 10 awards program continues its mission of recognizing individual contributions to the team sport of healthcare design. It gives the industry the opportunity to pause and shine a spotlight on colleagues and peers who have made a meaningful difference in how projects were delivered, the way design is practiced, or the influence this industry can have for the greater good of us all.
This year, you’ll find profiles of 12 winners—yes, 12. We stretched the HCD 10 a little this year to accommodate three outstanding people within the category of Industry MVPs, each layering on their personal expertise to a program that will help achieve better health equity by identifying the ways design can and should make a difference.
Additionally, we have an interior designer who’s helping to trailblaze a new aesthetic for medical settings, a researcher who’s laying the groundwork for post-pandemic preparedness and future flexibility, an educator providing students with critical exposure to the healthcare design profession with lots of hands-on learning opportunities, and a clinician who fought for decades to create the best possible space for his specialty group’s staff and patients.
We hope you enjoy reading about yet another exemplary class of industry members who define excellence in this field.
We’ll celebrate them in person during the 2022 Healthcare Design Conference + Expo, Oct. 8-11 in San Antonio. (For event details, visit hcdexpo.com).
Congratulations to all!
