Healthcare Design magazine has a number of competitions designed to honor the most groundbreaking healthcare projects, most innovative products, and the most influential people and organizations working in healthcare design today. HCD’s annual Healthcare Design Showcase is our biggest healthcare and hospital design competition, featured in the August issue. The Remodel/Renovation Competition winners run in the December issue. Product competitions include the Product Innovation Awards in May, as well as the Nightingale competition—co-sponsored by Healthcare Design, Contract magazine, and The Center for Health Design—which honors the best products on display at the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference in November. The HCD 10 Awards, presented at the HCD Forum and featured in the September issue, honor nine individuals and one organization making the biggest impact on the industry over the course of the previous year.

The Healthcare Design Expo & Conference is the industry’s largest and most respected event focused specifically on the built environment and best practices for improving patient outcomes, staff satisfaction, and a healthcare system’s bottom line. In 2016, Healthcare Design added the HCD Forum to its roster of events, an elite gathering of the magazine’s Editorial Advisory Board and other thought leaders in the industry for workshops, thought-provoking speakers, and networking. The HCD CitySCENE events are regional networking opportunities for our industry’s newest practitioners and seasoned veterans to meet and mingle. This year’s CitySCENE events will take place in Nashville, Chicago, and Dallas.
